Field Report 002: The Anatomy of a Sasquatch Spot

Not all signs are created equal. Some are built to be ignored. These are built to be discovered.

At first glance, a Sasquatch Spot marker seems simple — a silhouette, a presence, something just out of place enough to catch your attention.

But every detail is intentional.

The posture of the figure. Slightly relaxed. Not aggressive. Not threatening. Almost… aware of you.

The texture. Clean enough to read at a distance, but detailed enough to reward a closer look.

The placement. Never random. Always somewhere that invites a pause — near a storefront, along a scenic path, just off the edge of “normal.”

And then there’s the real secret…

The moment you interact with it.

Scan the code or follow the link, and suddenly the sign isn’t just a sign anymore. It’s a doorway. Sometimes to a story. Sometimes to a discount. Sometimes to something unexpected.

The physical marker is just the beginning.

Field Report 001: The First Marker Was Placed

Every expedition starts somewhere. Ours started with a question: what if people actually stopped and looked?

Before there were sightings, before there were scans, before there were stories — there was just an idea.

What if a simple sign could interrupt someone’s day in the best way possible? Not an ad. Not a warning. Something… curious.

The first Sasquatch Spot wasn’t about proving anything. It was about creating a moment. A pause. A reason to step out of the car, stretch your legs, and wonder just a little bit.

We tested shapes. We tested silhouettes. Too cartoonish? It broke the illusion. Too realistic? It felt like a warning sign. The balance had to be just right — something that made you smile, but also made you look twice.

When the first marker went up, we didn’t know what would happen.

But someone stopped.

Then another.

And just like that… the search began.
